| This international ideas competition challenges participants to design a NEW Hotel and Sky Garden Skyscraper in New York, USA. The design should create a new iconic skyscraper in the city of skyscrapers that is New York. PROGRAM AND USES: Design programs should include the following spaces: The proposal should include both design for the building and the Sky Garden within or at the top of the super structure. SPACE ORGANISATION:The organisation of the required space will be left to participants but must incorporate the specified spaces in this brief such as the hotel with retail, offices, parking, restaurant and sky garden. However exciting and challenging the creative opportunity presented with such loose parameters, it is important that proposals include the specified spaces in the brief. Participants are free to added other spaces to the program to fit in with today's architecture practice and social expectations or that of the future.
