| Hi, please take note that DesignSingapore is organising LighTouch Lighting System Design Competition with the sponsorship of FLOS and SPACE Furniture, supported by Millenia Walk and Singapore Art Museum, and Official Publications D+A and iSH magazines. Some blurb on the competition below, with more on the website www.designsingapore.org Brief: +It used to be that being at the right place and the right time was the ultimate 'trick' to perfect. Many still try. But most soon realise that it is more of a gamble, and that much of life is what you make it to be. +Designers know that. Design not only solves problems, but can also change the way we see and understand the world around us. Not just 'how' but 'why not?' +Everyone should always be able to 'design' his own environment. To change it, and be changed by it. +Lightouch is a quest for such a creative and interactive live-work-play environment that is shaped by a unique non-intrusive lighting system. It is about using light for its full spectrum of qualities. Less about lamps as technology, though inextricable from the form of light they shape. +Lightouch must be Functional. Adaptable. Modular. Scalable. +There. Always. Just. +Light. Touch. +What is such a lighting system? Show us. Show FLOS. Show all. Deadline Registration by email opens on 10 August 2003.
