| THE CAPTURED OCEAN: Redefining The Busan Urban Water Front 2nd Edition Busan International Architectural Competition A Global Competition on the Future of Busan's Water Front Space Busan Metropolitan City 2003 International Idea Competition on Architecture / Urban Design / Landscape Design Site: GwangAn Rhi, the Water Front Area and GwangAn Grand Bridge Busan City, Korea, has been cited as an example of urban 'palimpsest' or a site rich with historical inscriptions. This competition aims to address the ideas of palimpsest specifically within the Korean fabric and the making of Water Front Space and GwangAn Bridge. With the current re-growth of Korea's economy, these issues of urban development are currently being addressed by government and planning officials of Korea. Presentation Requirements: The graphic documents [site plan, floor plans, elevations, sections, perspectives and sketches] must be presented on two A1 [59.4 cm X 84 cm] size sheets vertically composed flat unmounted plates with a maximum 250 words text in English along with clear scale information. Eligibility The Competition is open to the students of architecture, urban design, landscape design and professionals of architecture and related fields. The competition is open to individuals, or a team of architects and consultants of any age. Language: English Registration: To register for the competition, competitors must; - Send an application for registration, indicating their last name, first name, nationality, postal address, telephone, fax and e-mail, as well as the composition of the team, if applicable. - Attached to their application should be a copy of the receipt showing the payment of the registration fee of US$90.00 - The registration fee is not refundable.
