Open to:	Designers or architects, and students			Entry Fee:	free
Awards:	A single winning project will be chosen, and will receive a prize of €5,000 during the award ceremony in September 2011. No account will be taken of the winner[s]’ tax or other obligations with respect to the prize.
Jury:	The jury will receive a “virtual dossier” with the 30 projects to judge. The jury is made up of the following professionals: President: Ron Arad, designer and architect United Kingdom Gilda Bojardi, editor in chief Interni magazine, Italy Josep Congost, design manager of the Roca Innovation Lab, Spain Javier Mariscal, designer, Spain Tomek Rygalik, arquitect and designer, Poland John Anthony Sahs, designer, Nissan Global Design Center, Japan Marcel Wanders, designer, The Netherlands The jury selection will be performed on-line during the month of June 2011
'Jump the gap' offers the opportunity to create and design innovative solutions in bathroom and related products. This fourth edition of Roca International Design Contest is aimed at creative people who think towards the future whilst designing today. These are designs that can bring forth their vision of conceptually innovative bathroom products and solutions: new products, new spaces and/or new uses and functions. Jump the gap is a creative contest proposal that brings new and innovative concepts to the bathroom, understanding innovation as the anticipation of users’ new desires and needs, as well as [why not?] the transformation of dreams and desires into reality.
