Pamphlet Architecture 27—Call for Submissions
Since 1977 Pamphlet Architecture has served as an alternative to the mainstream architectural press, and has helped launch the careers of some of today’s most influential architects including Steven Holl, Lebbeus Woods, Zaha Hadid, and Neil Denari. These modest, affordable publications have contributed immeasurably to architectural discourse for almost thirty years, producing continuous, vigorous debate and critical discussion on a wide range of architectural themes. In 2004 Pamphlet Architecture remains a unique forum for architects, designers, theorists, urbanists, and landscape architects to publish their designs, theories, ideas, and hopes for the future of the designed and built world.
The deadline for submissions is September 7, 2004. The winning entry will take on important issues facing architecture, landscape architecture, and/or urban design and demonstrate a high level of visual and intellectual clarity and rigor. The winner will be given a grant of $2000 to develop their proposal into a “camera-ready” manuscript, which will be published by Pamphlet Architecture, Ltd./Princeton Architectural Press as Pamphlet Architecture 27. The results of the competition will be announced on our website [www.pamphletarchitecture.org] on October 8, 2004. Entrants will also be notified by mail.
