tallinn module
tallinn module is a public international one-stage design competition. the objective of the competition is to find a unique system of outdoor urban furnishings for the city of tallinn that combines different objects [kiosks, telephone booths, park benches, bus stop shelters, advertising stands and so on] into a unitary whole. the system must create the inner logic necessary for the integral design of the city while at the same time allowing individual objects to retain their distinctiveness and individuality. it is possible to limit the spread of catalogue solutions by way of the competition and to contribute to working up the unique identity of the public space of tallinn.

the chairman and members of the jury have the right to vote on the decision. the secretary does not have a vote. the reserve member may participate in jury meetings but has a vote only in the event of serving as a substitute for a primary member.
the jury may consult experts in the evaluation of the competition who have the right to participate in jury meetings but do not a vote in making decisions.

if the number of entries that meet the conditions of the competition turns out to be equal to or smaller than the total number of prizes to be awarded, it is permissible to forego awarding some of the prizes or to redistribute the amounts of the awards. the first prize may not be reduced.
awards will be paid within one month at the latest after the organiser makes the results public. award money is subject to taxation according to legislation currently in effect. it is the responsibility of the recipients of the awards to pay the taxes that are to be paid from the award money.
form of the competition
the competition is a competition of ideas for solutions with the demonstration of specific possibilities for their materialisation.
the competition is a public, anonymous, international, one-stage design competition.
the languages of the competition are english and estonian. the regulations of the competition are available in both estonian and english. questions are to be submitted in either estonian or english. the organising committee will answer all questions in both languages. entries are to be submitted in either estonian or english.
the regulations of the competition source materials have been co-ordinated by sdpd, uea, esd and esia.
the regulations of the competition contained herein and the guide for organising the international competitions of the international council of societies of industrial design [henceforth icsid], international council of graphic design associations [henceforth icograda] and international federation of interior architects/interior designers [henceforth ifi] will be observed in carrying out the competition. right to participate
all architects and designers with a diploma in their respective profession that ensures the right to work as an architect or designer in their respective countries may participate in the competition. similarly groups of architects and designers, that include at least one co-author of the project being entered with a diploma in their respective profession that ensures the right to work as an architect or designer in their respective country, are eligible.
the chairman, secretary, members and reserve members of the jury, experts consulted by the jury, individuals who have an advantage due to organising the competition and could influence the decisions of the jury, as well as the spouses, close relatives, and business partners associated with ownership, may not participate in the competition
