trans_2003-2004 : akiyoshidai international art village residence
program application form
the residence support program is carried out with the aim of supporting
young artists and those who research arts to expand their activities and
studies.$b!![b all the artists are strictly selected by the selection
committee of the residence program of akiyoshidai international art
village. maximum five artists are to be chosen to join the program.
while the stay in the village they are required to participate in the
program to exhibit their creative activities to the public. for example
by giving a lecture, having an exhibition, workshop or open studio.
these will be realized through discussion with planning staffs in charge
so that an artist's vision can be realized better.
residency period
january 12 - march 15, 2004 [64 days]
acceptable applicants
maximum five young artists
*if applying as a group, two people are maximum in each groups.
*no limitation on the deciplines of art
condition of eligibility
young artists / researchers [no limitation on age]
artists who are able to stay in the art village for the designated
period of time
we will ask to present the activity of the resident artists in anyway
they prefer [exhibitions, lectures, workshops...]
applicants who are able to communicate in english
support
round trip transportation fee to the akiyoshidai international art
village[it will be calculated based on the standard set by the art village]
accommodation in the village [western/japanese style$b!![b *a part of the
western style room has a mini kitchen]
studio [there are various types of studios.$b!![b the allocation of studios
is decided by the selection committee]
expenses of creative activities
*individual 180.000yen / *group 220.000yen
per diem
*2,600yen / day [for example, if you stay 60 days, 2600x60=156.000 yen
will be added on the 'expenses of creative activities'.]
accident insurance
*this is for basic injury, so prepare your own insurance for other coverage
how to apply
applicants should make a photocopy of the attached application form or
reproduce the same form on a personal computer and fill in the required
details [typewritten, and not to exceed 250 words in english]
attach your cv in english [typed detail profile] and enclose the$b!![b items
depending on your field [c.f. the application sheet].
*please understand that the items you submit will be kept in the village
and cannot be returned.
*we will not accept the application via e-mail.
dead line
12th july, 2003 [not later than]
*application forms received after the deadline date will not be accepted.
*application forms will also not be accepted if there is a
misrepresentation or if required information is missing from the
application form
