עקרונות תכנון:

Citta הינה רשת בתי-קפה בוטיק בינלאומית, כאשר תמהיל הקפה הוא איטלקי והיזם ישראלי.
הרשת בונה ז'אנר חדש- ניסינו ליצור חלל שנבנה כמועדון קפה (coffee club), המגדיר בצורה רהוטה יותר את הפעילות החברתית שמתהווה סביב ההגדרה בית קפה, בדומה למה שייצג בית קפה בשנות ה-20.
מקורות ההשראה הויזואליים נלקחו מהרקע הארכיטקטוני שלפני המהפכה הקומוניסטית, בזמן בו הייתה השפעה אירופאית חזקה על האדריכלות העירונית בסין.
לאחר בדיקה מצאנו ששנות ה-20 מהוות את התחנה האחרונה של המערב בסין שלפני המהפכה, וזהו הזיכרון הקולקטיבי של הסינים מהמערב. לנושא זה בחרנו להתייחס בעיצוב.
החלל תוכנן לקנה-מידה אנושי. כל פרטי העיצוב, לרבות הריהוט וגופי התאורה, מתייחסים לגבהי הישיבה. הסניפים נבנו בהתייחס ליושבים בו יותר מאשר למבנה עצמו.
4 בתי הקפה הראשונים של הרשת יתוכננו ע"י סטודיו גד ויוקמו בשנחאי, סין.
בתי הקפה ימוקמו ברחובות הראשיים ובקניונים, כמו כן יוקמו דוכנים בלובי מגדלי משרדים.
התפישה העיצובית תשמור על "DNA " עיצובי בכל סניפי הרשת.

Design program:

Citta is a chain of boutique café. The coffee mix is from Italy, and the entrepreneurs are from Israel.
This chain establishes a new genre, trying to build a space designed as a coffee club. This space is defined by the social activities which represent a coffee club, trying to resemble what coffee club presented in the 1920'.
The sources of visual inspiration have been taken from the architectural back ground in China, before the communist revolution. This was a time when the European influence was very strong on the architectural urban design in China.
After great research we found out that the 1920' were the last era that the west influenced China. This is the last collective memory that the Chinese people have from the west. To this subject we decided to address in our design.
The space was planned for the human scale. Every designed detail including the furniture and lighting fixtures refers to the human ratio.
The branches are planned in relation to the people sitting in it, rather than the building itself.
 
The first four coffee houses will be planned by Studio Gad and built in

Shanghai, China.
 
These coffee houses will be built in the main streets and in the shopping

centers.
