In the main elevations, the concrete block works as a hollow element, creating a filter between the internal and external areas, dialoguing eith the different incidences of sunlight throughout the day. According to Bruno Rossi, “the hollow element in the gables dissolves the limits, allowing the colors of the surroundings, ventilation and natural lighting to enter the environment, without a physical barrier”. Having the concrete blocks as protagonists of the project, it was decided to keep them in their original appearance, without any other coatings or painting. The other materials, such as a slab in prefabricated concrete slabs, granite flooring and glass enclosures were the choices that maintained the neutrality of these elements.
In the evening time, the building lights up and emanates light through its hollow gables, bringing a point of reference in the field without interfering with the natural shadows, also offering comfort to the local fauna.
