Kloof House זהו שם הפרויקט של SAOTA משרד האדריכלים מקייפטאון בדרום אפריקה, אשר זכה בזהב בטקס פרסי Loeries השנתי ה-43, בקטגוריית עיצוב לארכיטקטורה. הזוכים הוכרזו במהלך שבוע היצירה Loeries בקייפטאון, אשר קיבל את פני מאות המועמדים מרחבי אפריקה והמזרח התיכון. תוכנית הפרסים מכירה במצוינות היצירתית שנמצאת באזור ובתעשייה. Kloof House הוא בית משפחה הממוקם מתחת להר ''ראש האריה'' בקייפטאון, מיקומו באחד הכבישים הבולטים בעיר. העיצוב נועד למזג את נופי העיר עם נופים של ההרים בצד ובחלק האחורי של הנכס.

The strongest gesture is the inverted pyramid roof which creates a clerestory window around the upper level. It allows the building to open up, capturing views of the sky, Table Mountain and Lion’s Head and bringing the sun and moon into the home, hhhening the connection to nature and its cycles. Kloof House has also been shortlisted as a finalist in the WAN Awards 2021 in the House of the Year specialist
category and won the CIfA Award for Architecture 2019 and Idea-Tops Global Nomination Award 2019.

The house is arranged on three levels, with garages and services at the bottom, bedrooms in the middle and living areas on top. In and
around the rooms, there are planted courtyards – pockets of greenery – that make you feel as if you are surrounded by landscape.
